Blood
« on: November 30, 2007, 09:56:10 AM »
Hiya all had a quick question that will play into a game tommorrow. In our game, there is a small river that is flowing into a small lake around 5 miles in diameter, this is the only inlet of water into the lake.  The river is flowing from a temple on an island in the middle of the lake.  The river is not water but blood, created by magical means.

The question is would the blood dilute into the water or would it stay together in a stream?  There is no wind to effect waves really.  There is an outlet at the bottom of the lake where the water flows.  Would the blood flow into the lake, maintain its integrity and than flow out of the lake, or would it kinda breakdown in the water and spread out or would it float on the top?

IF the river of blood is the only inlet of fluid into the lake, and the river is blood and only blood, the only water present to dilute it would be rain water.  So you would in effect have a river and lake of blood, mildly diluted perhaps by water from rain, not a lake of water, diluted by a small source/river of blood.
