What inspired the name "Gryx"?
« on: July 20, 2019, 11:59:51 AM »
I ask this because it recently came to my attention how the "Gryx" name fits into a RPG icons name.

In particular Gary Gygax. Look at it this way; GaRy gYgaX, see what I mean?

I wonder what Aygga (or Aggya) would be the name for?....LOL
When you game, game like you mean it! Game Hard!

An Aygga is a female Gryx.

I think Murphy was an incurable optimist.

While thinking about the choice for the name is nice, I still wonder why--other than ease of access--it needed a "half-orc" like race at all? I get that people are more likely to look at things that play to something they're already familiar with, as RPGs that are too different seem to have a much smaller fan base and market.
