Just cause... (funny story).
« on: December 21, 2011, 09:42:22 PM »
I was talking to someone about history stuff the other day and related this story to them... I though I would share it here, just cause it was so damn funny.

We were in an Ancient European History class and the teacher was talking about Genghis Khan.  Explaining all his various exploits and accomplishments and how he became so notorious that when a town/village/whatever heard he was headed their way they would just line all their booty up outside of town for him, he would ride up, take it, and leave the settlement in peace.

A young man in the class raised his hand and, with a look of confusion on his face, said "You mean... they just lined all the women up out there like that?"

The teacher stood there, dumbfounded for about ten seconds - a look of total disbelief on his face - then finally managed to say, very slowly "No... booty meant treasure back then."

Most the class was having to try very hard to keep from bursting out in laughter.

Probably one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed in a classroom.
