I think that the most annoying thing of TP is costing: making a new TP is really a pain because you've to calculate the price for every  profession.
Other things (special items, blocks of skill ranks) are minor nuisances that can be easly solved compared to that imho.
I suppose a magician might, he admitted, but a gentleman never could.

 If you use J Dales TP creation sheet does it not calculate the cost automatically?

The fact that a similar sheet exist is the proof that calculating TP costs is problematic and that should be a lot easier.

The fact that a similar sheet exist is the proof that calculating TP costs is problematic and that should be a lot easier.

 The problem was that old TP used a unique cost formula that was hidden from some people. So they decided on creating a new formula and re-costing the entire TP list. And they did.
 I do not know if easier is the way to go but if it works for your game then it has to be ok for you.
