Question about armor lightness

Does the reduction in weight effect both MMs and Quickness penalties?

I think so, in line with lighter armour in a lower category.
If the armour is lighter due to being thinner (instead of superior manufacture) it gets a DB penalty.

So if AT 19 is a mod range of -150 to -35, -30 QU penalty and -30 Missile penalty then a 20% lighter armor would be -120 to -28, -24 DB penalty and -24 missile penalty?

It depends how you rule it I guess.

I would line up AT19 half plate with AT11 half hide plate for determining bonuses for lighter armour.

I’d actually cap bonuses at the 20% weight decrease point and give the AT11 min MM mod and QU penalty. -15MM -15QU.

So a 10% decrease in weight would be half way between AT19 and AT11 -25MM -23QU.

I think the missile penalty and maximums should be left unchanged as this is the inherit rigidity of the armour independent of weight.
