The cost for the Vacuum Power Generator per the example on p. 117 in the first column under the Cosmic Power Generators rule is off by ¢100.

Per the example Gary estimates that the Vacuum Power Generator's (VPG) output is 111 power units and costs ¢21,000. The VPG total cost formula is:

((Rating) x 100) + ¢10,000. Inserting the 111 power units rating in the equation my calculation returns:

(111 x ¢100) + ¢10,000 = ¢11,100 + ¢10,000 = ¢21,100.

Recommend the following be added as errata:

Change the Vacuum Power Generator cost sentence from:

"It costs ¢21,000 (vacuum power is cheap) and would take .333 (.003 x 111) crew to maintain."

"That puts the running total up to 82.994 metric tons, 72.938 kiloliters, ¢8,574,100, 103.5 power, and 10.351 crew. The end is in sight."

to:

"It costs ¢21,100 (vacuum power is cheap) and would take .333 (.003 x 111) crew to maintain."

"That puts the running total up to 84.994 metric tons, 74.938 kiloliters, ¢8,674,900, 103.5 power, and 10.351 crew. The end is in sight."

Note that the running total text includes the addition of the payload pallet system's required hard point mass and cost per 4513 Tech Law: Vehicle Manual Errata « Reply #17 on: March 23, 2011, 08:30:18 am »

The example states that the TMAC's Control area has a mass of 6 tons and a volume of 9 kiloliters.

The Control Area Volume formula per p. 118 is:

(Number of non-general members) x 9 kiloliters.

The TMAC has 2 non-general members, the pilot and the gunner/EW operator. 2 x 9 = 18 kiloliters not 9 kiloliters as stated in the example on SM: P VM p. 118.
