"Throw" spells - which skill used as OB?
« on: September 06, 2007, 01:32:58 AM »
Hi,

there are a few "Throw" spells in the rules, e.g. on the Holy Weapon list in Channeling Companion or on the Warrior's Weapon list in Essence Companion, which allow the caster's melee weapon to be thrown at a target. What I am not sure of is whether the normal melee OB should be used also for the thrown attack or whether skill has to be developed separately, e.g. "Broadsword (thrown)" skill.

Does anyone know an official answer? Opinions?

I suppose that the 'directed spell' for 'throw bolt', we have others 'throw' spells in essence and mentalism. Look at the DP cost of 4 for warrior mage.

Taking a quick look at the spell in Channeling Companion, I would say that you use your normal OB when you throw that weapon, according to how that spell was written.
