Which RM edition was it written for? Would you change anything for using it with RMU?
We use our own version CL & SL and RMU AL beta version 2. Most of the spell lists (here and BASiL) are updated to incorporate the new size rules, breakage and exhaustion. They are good to go for RMU.
3) Dark Whip - Uses regular Whip attack table, but with all Cold criticals, right? And regular OB with Whips?
The player would need to develop skill in whip. yes, cold crits instead of slash etc.
5) Dark Aspect - When do things within 10' make the RR vs fear? Every round for the duration? The first time during the duration that they're within 10'? Or only in the instant that the spell is cast?
Once when coming into contact/sight of caster.
ColdDark Aura I - One critical for each round they stay within 5', I suppose? Do they get an RR against this spell?
We don't allow a RR. It's like Firewall--proximity means you take the damage.
12) Dark True - I assume you mean "as Darkness I", rather than "as Light I"
Yes--these are early versions of our current lists so there are probably a ton of spelling errors and other mistakes.
16) DarkFear - does "everyone" include the caster?
No.
17) Mass Dark Aura - Does this simply mean I can grant the aura to myself and my allies?
Correct. Caster chooses the recipients. In this case it would be the followers of Orgiana (Sisters of Darkness)
18) Coldfire - Shouldn't it be equivalent to a Cold Ball attack, rather than Bolt?
Good question! I've never had to use that spell, but it mirrors Orgiana's "flame fan" special power. I just think that cold is a better effect for her than fire.
20) Man Slayer - In RMU, which degree of Slaying (I-IV) would it be?
Another good question. That was an RMU change I missed. I would go with III in the middle but I would review that if these ever go to publication.
30) Dark Bolt True - does it include a bolt in the same round that I finish casting the spell?
Yes, you can shoot a bolt at casting.
