 To me it looks like the W49K universe in which people can be harvested for their brains for systems. Or maybe I am just thinking too far into the future.

  Yes I found the article very interesting. Especially since it looks to be adapted from larger camera mounted systems such as you would see is a city park or a system used in a rural area.
