Saw this being sold on eBay for a good price.  I'm wondering if it's worth the price.

Depends on what you want. Spell lists take up the largest chunk of content. There are 3 new professions, the usual miscellany of optional rules, some new creatures, some new magical items, 7 critical tables, and attack tables for Lightning Ball, Time Ball, Time Bolt, Dart, and Brawling/Untrained.

Just note that the Lightning Ball table is unusable.

The companion has some prettt powerful arcane spell lists.
It also holds the Force Mage profession which to some is the most powerful essence user.

I think violence in games only causes violence in real life if the person in question has an insufficient mental capacity to deal with the real world in the first place. But, that's more the fault of poor genetics and poorer parenting than it is the fault of a videogame

Oh yeah, Forcemage has some cool spells.

What's unusable about it?

It is messed up in the sense that while the critical rise in from A to J the damage resets the first time it reaches 20 and goes back to 10. AT 8 > 68 = 19E, AT8 > 69 = 10F. Then there UM100 vs AT5 = 50J, the only time the damage breaches 40 damage.

Hmm, never paid enough attention to notice that before. Is it safe to assume no one's devised a corrected version in the years since?

Yeah, just a typo and was probably 20 vs 10HPs damage.

Good catch, though.
