Additional Profession Questions
« on: September 01, 2012, 01:14:03 PM »
In the Revised edition of HARP Magician's Versatiity has been added as a Professional ability.
If a character takes Mage as an additional profession and selects the Mage Sphere as the professional ability they get, how many spells do they get access to?

My best guess would be they would get 30 spells the same as Specialist Mage but was wondering what the official ruling should be.

Also a more general question for additional profession and Professional abilities.  Is there any provision for spending DP's to acquire Professional abilities other than the one selected when first buying an Additional Profession?

My Suggestion would be that you could make additional purchases of Addtional Profession (one per level) to gain any additional Professional abilities you wanted to acquire that weren't already listed as Talents
Anything that makes the GMs life easier without messing the game up will always get a vote from me.

30 spells as per Specialist Mages. The Extended Arcana Talent (to appear in Something Wicked) will allow any spell user to acquire extra spells from a Sphere or Circle they have access to.

Best wishes,
