Can anyone direct me to anywhere in the Shadow World corpus that depicts Gryphon College? (Not the inn in Gryphonburg, but rather the college miles to the north of it). I was toying with the idea of turning it into a kind of Kulthean Hogwarts for a new campaign, but wanted to see first what the canon description of the institution is.

The characters in Loremaster Legacy spend some time there was well. It might give you a feel for the place and its residents.

I love using Gryphon College as a secret power in Jaiman.  In my game they hire assassins, rig elections, and try and influence politics covertly by disseminating false information.

North???  Crap.  I have it to the East.  The party hasn't visited it yet, so I'll just move it a little more North East.  Maps are probably intentionally left vague.  :)

Yes, on the map of Rhakhaan I have it is about 100 miles north of Gryphonburg. The Burg lies on the river (I think it is the Blue River) that flows through Haalkitaine to the sea, but Gryphon College is on another river that flows in the same direction, but about 100 miles north, closer to the border with Zor. Although on the larger map of Jaimain, the college seems to be placed in between the two rivers. It doesn't really matter that much where you place it, I guess, but I wanted to figure out what is the canon before I go messing with things.

One interesting thing that seemed to be implied in Loremaster Legacy is that at least some members of the Iron Wind don't know where it's located. It's been a very long time since I read the Jaiman source book, and I haven't reread it recently because the new edition seems to be around the corner. Not sure if the original book makes any mention of that feature.

As long as that's the story the players and GM want to tell it's all good. I've said this before, but the strength of Shadow World is the way so many of the character are shades of grey. Leaves you lots of room to run the game in a non-standard way.

I did some work on a Gryphon College campaign a while back, including re doing the maps (adding a 4th floor, as I wanted more students). You interested? I can pop them up in a dropbox and link to it.
