I had a great day today: I started out by heading into Byron Bay, where I was interviewed & read a couple of poems for a poetry programme on the local community radio station. The programme is rebroadcast around Australia, as well.

Then I went on the weekly food shopping, and as it was my pension I bought four books (one for my personal trainer) and I also bought a headset for my computer, so that I can start making decent audio recordings of my poetry.

And I rounded it off with a game with Miss Kitty, aka Pandora the Cat.

My best day so far was the day I graduated from graduate school. I was with people I love, getting started in a career that I love and won an award for a thesis that took me years to write. It represented my 'graduation' into a world where I finally felt like a grown up and was ready to put a difficult past behind me.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

  I am looking forward to this upcoming Monday as we are getting together for games, BBQ, Drinks and are going to beta test a card game that is under development by a few people in our gaming group.
