SM:P Talent queston
« on: September 16, 2011, 09:49:22 PM »
I have a question regarding a talent in SM:P Future law: "Special psychic training"

The talent reads "Special Psychic Training – You have one psychic category which you develop as a semi-psychic."

I cannot find reference to semi-psychic anywhere else. Clearly this talent is designed to make one psi catagory cheaper, but how much cheaper?

Don't know if this helps, but the way we handled it was that it reduced the DP cost by half for the first psi-category for the profession except for the Psychic profession.  The Semi-Psychic was left out of the new incarnation of SM.  At least I have never found it anywhere.  Also, in our campaign, we did away with semi-psi since we looked at it as being semi-pregnant.  You either are or aren't.

Indeed. In SM2 there was a psychic and semi-psychic profession. I assume the talent was a leftover from that

I was considering halving the cost, but thought I'd ask opinions and if there was anything official.

From what I was told the Semi-Psychic was cut from the book and was later included in the Data Nets. I will see what I can do about getting the info to you but as it is cut from a book I do not think I can.

Copy to the errata, so it's listed with the book, or shall I do it?
