Emer III
« on: April 19, 2011, 02:21:09 PM »
I'll post updates on the book here. It is about 2/3 done, mostly fleshing out adventures and cultural stuff now. As you might imagine, it is a very different place than northern Emer, because of the barriers and the jungles. And there is the Ahrenreth citadel, and the ancient Agoth city, and the Isle of Jade and the Isle of Glass (?) and, well, lots more. I'm writing daily on it now, and will try to post regularly.

Is it going to be available in print, or PDF only?

The print issue is up to Guild Companion and Nicholas, so I would address that to him, but I believe all future books will be available on print-on-demand.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

Good news, the game needs more background. Hope to see it soon.

Making lots of progress! I am editing the timeline (which is always a chore, yet fun in its own way) and then jumping down to writing the background for the region and as adventure ideas hit me, I add those. Stupid old MS Word needs more than 2 panels or something. Though I am using the 2000 version because I am too cheap to pay for anything newer from the evil empire. Oh, lots of new creatures on the way, because you know the jungles are teeming with them. And of course there is the forge of A'kesh and the lost city of Zæn, the Isle of Jade, the home of the Green Dragon... whew.

Get a 2nd monitor for your PC that way you can have 4 open or more depending on how big you make them.
You can also hook up some PC to some TV's and if it is big enough you get lots of extra area as you scale down the text size.

'm so excited to be making so much progress on E3, I think there is actually more text already written than there was for EI and there is much more to tell. But I want to take a little break and get back to shadowstone. the problem is, I don't know where to go, that is why it has stalled. I am open to suggestions for the next three days. Then the next chapter begins-I need some inspiration peeps! --TKA

I'd originally posted about the City of the Dead, before noticing it was smack in the middle of Uj, so probably in the south-west. By the looks of it, Uj is most of the south-west.

The 3 capitals, more than in any other area of the continent. Interesting ruins to explore.

1286: Heading south, Aldanor moves into Khûm-kaan, settling Coronan at the mouth of the Sybarus River
1332: The Satellite capitol of Shanish is established in Onar, along the northern coast.
1341: Colony ships from Leonas in Uj make the dangerous passage to Ræl and a satellite capitol of Intil is established in eastern Ræl, though at this point it is Emerian in little more than name.

You must feel the thought and think the feeling
