Score! Gaming in public pays off.
« on: June 05, 2011, 11:03:35 AM »
I recently joined a GURPS 3e group, and have been to 2 sessions so far. We meet at businesses in Milan and Ypsilanti. Last session, 2 Sundays ago, the Chaplain of the American Legion Hall a couple buildings from the bar where we were playing barely saw us play and wanted in. This is also good because one of the players who was established before me had his last session with the group that day. It may also have helped matters that we were at the table just to the left of the front door. The group I'm in goes for meeting every other Sunday, though we're taking a little break because of players with less permanent absences.

Yes it does help a lot as well as advertising in some way with local game stores.
