Old DOS games.

The above link will lead you to a page with downloads for classic DOS games, including three RPG's.

Ancient Land of Ys
Dungeon Master
Legacy of the Ancients

There are a bunch of other games too.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

One of the better games from the 90s (IMO) was Ascendancy:

You put your left foot in, you put your left foot out... Traditional Somatic Components
Oo Ee Oo Aa Aa, Ting Tang Walla Walla Bing Bang... Traditional Verbal Components

I am surprised that they don't have Rogue on there -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_%28video_game%29

I played a lot of Dungeon Master on a friends Atarii computer at college.  Then I was so excited to find Dungeon Master II at the Half Price Bookstore.  Then I was so disappointed it wouldn't run on my more recent computer.  Still couldn't throw it away though so it sits next to my Lords of the Realm and Magic game.

Have you tried to run it with an emulator?

For DOS games, DOSBOX is a winner.
There are also good emulators for Atari.

I found it amusing that with DOSBox, playing joust, I couldn't hit the spacebar fast enough to flap off the ground until I turned the speed way WAY down.

Damn that game, I'm sure it caused me to fail my exams at college!  >:(

I managed to get a copy of Angband.. which is a Rogue type clone, and is a more complex game. Though it's been a good 15 years since I've played it. For such a basic looking game it's really addictive...

Great. Now I am sucked back into Dungeon Master again.  Hard to imagine the amount of time playing a game that will fit on a floppy.
