Title: Soulsword
Post by: arnecooper on August 28, 2009, 05:32:24 PM
Are the stats for the Soulsword printed anywhere? And where is it hidden? Why is it the only thing that can defeat the Shadowstone?

Answers are in order.

Yes, the Stats of the Soulswords can be found somewhere.

The are hidden in the Atlas Addendum on page 63.

If you look at it's stats and at the stats of the Shadowstone 4 pages before you'll understand why.

Now, as it's a really old book, things might have changed

Thanks Guillaume, that is what I planned to put in Artifacts & Lost Tech. As for the location... I have been hinting at it for awhile in the Shadowstone chronicles, but I might as well let the curious GM's know... if you really want...  hmm how do you do the 'hidden' thing?

I don't have the atlas addendum...Is it printed anywhere else? As a curious GM running a campaign that kind of ties into the Shadowstone thing, I would really like to know where the Soulsword is hidden, rather than have to make it up myself.

I'm actually in exactly the same position - I have closely linked my campaign with the Shadowstone Chronicles and we have just reached the same point in time as the most recent chapter!

As it's a most difficult to find book ( it's from the Emer box ) I suppose Terry won't mind. ( Othewise I'm sure somebody will erase what needs to be erased ;D )

Soulsword Stats. Subject to changes without notice  ;D

Oh, that is awesome. Inside the crystal? That is much better than what I could have made up. It also fits perfectly into my campaign. I love it. And thanks for the stats....It all makes perfect sense now.......

So for the curious. Why was the sword hidden?

Perhaps it wasn't hidden there.....

.......perhaps it was placed there for safekeeping so that the original Daenku Ahrenreth would know where to get it should they ever need it again.

i.e.   "in case of energency, break glass"  !!!

Because artifacts have a way of ending up in the wrong hands.  Additionally, the forces of the Unlife would at least hide the thing, try to corrupt it, or destroy it.

I agree it's really worth a laugh point, even if it might be not too far from the reality.  ;D
