Finally, it's out.
After the first flip through, I sense this will be some dense reading, haha. Those material lists alone😄

I bought it but haven’t read it. Just browsed the art.

How is it?

So far I think it’s „fine“. I disagree with many rules but it feeds my imagination like few other book, because it really tries to figure out how Alchemy works in detail. That is an admirable ambition, even if I don’t agree with everything.
The layout is still really bad, there is a table that crosses a page border for no reason f.e..
I got used to that though.
Miss the John Curtis layout from SS/FRP. That was peak RM layout.

Which ones? So far I haven't seen anything that would strike me as odd?

On p121 it stated that you can enchant an "of the shelf" item after it was created. This goes against most Fantasy tropes of how a magic item is created with arcane knowledge about smithing  and so on. It just feels off "Hey Mark, when you pick up your fixed armor, please get some of the shelfs swords for us to enchant for our adventure."
That is just on example and is easily fixed, of course. I will write a bigger review when I am through the whole book on Drivethru. Let's see how I feel about it after I read it all.

That would certainly be trivial to house rule if you want enchantment to only be possible at the time of item creation, and not have any meaningful effect on the spells, process, or costs. Obviously that also removes the option of re-enchantment.

Only if it is reforged, Narsil/Anduril style:)
