Iron Crown Enterprises Director's Briefing

Director’s Briefing – July 2026

Welcome

To the one hundred-and-eightieth Briefing and seventh scheduled Briefing of 2026.

Conventions

Happily, the great restocking order for Gen Con has been made. Even more happily, given we invested six thousand dollars in the restocking, the books have been printed, shipped and are already safely with Aaron for the road trip to Gen Con at the end of the month.

HARP and HARP SF

HARP Steampunk will simultaneously debut in print form at Gen Con and globally through DriveThru.

On HARP Something Wicked Something Wondrous, the number of additional spell concepts worked up is now at twenty-three with fourteen concepts not making the cut. Rodd Kleinschmidt (of HARP Subterfuge fame) has sent me a series of Witch-related spells for consideration, so I will be looking at them and then statting up all of the new spells.

Last time, I mentioned that we had received the draft of an adventure module unexpectedly. It’s happened again. This time, Eric Kingsbury, who has been working on HARP Cyberspace Reloaded for us, submitted a nearly full draft of a HARP SF adventure module set in the Tintamar universe for consideration. “The Ashes of Admah” as it is entitled is really rather good; I have returned it to Eric for some modest revisions and additions. He will now be juggling Ashes and Cyberspace.

RMU

Progress continues apace on RMU Character Companion. We are now moving into the fiddly bits of the layout process where we look for annoying gotchas.

The adventure module, Shadows of a Splintered Past, is now in an editing and HARP-stat adding phase, whilst the artists are well underway with new illustrations.

Until next time

Please stay safe and keep gaming.

Best wishes,
Nicholas
